Mission: Urge Oreo-Maker to Stop Paying for Mice to be Force-Fed Poop
PETA has found out that Oreo-maker Mondelēz International paid experimenters to force-feed human poop to mice before killing them. 😱
Mice are smart, social animals who can recognize their names, love their fams, and enjoy sleeping curled up together. We can’t just sit back and do nothing as they suffer and die in these experiments. Besides harming mice, Mondelēz is also misleading the public by saying that it “do[es] not test [its] products on animals” but using the loophole to “only engage in Animal Testing … when it is needed to advance fundamental knowledge in nutritional science.” 🤦
Testing on animals is never needed to advance our knowledge of science. There are so many humane methods of experimentation relevant to human health, so why tf is Mondelēz tormenting mice? 🐭
Help Get Oreo-Maker to Change
PETA urges Oreo-maker Mondelēz International to stop this B.S. and sign our new Eat Without Experiments pledge. By signing, Mondelēz will join hundreds of compassionate companies and brands abandoning experiments on animals. Join us in pushing the company to make the right choice to help save animals from gruesome experiments and earn 25 peta2 points from our Rewards Program—here’s how:
1. Please call Mondelēz International at 847-943-4000 and politely urge it to join PETA’s Eat Without Experiments program and stop all experiments on animals.
Here are some talking points:
- Mondelēz has funded experiments in which mice are force-fed human poop, glass beads, and high-fat diets before being killed. These tests are cruel, unnecessary, and irrelevant to human health.
- Mondelēz claims not to test its products and ingredients on animals, but it has funded experiments on animals for “nutritional science.”. It’s time for Mondelēz to ban ALL animal testing and shift to modern, cruelty-free research methods.
- I urge Mondelēz to join PETA’s Eat Without Experiments program. Mondelēz would demonstrate its commitment to humane, superior science and transparency by doing so. Consumers don’t want food products linked with animal testing.
2. Take a screenshot of your call screen and submit it for 25 peta2 points. (Heads-up: You’ll only get points once for taking this action.)
