Mission: Did Your Food Have a Face?
Want to inspire as many friends, relatives, and community members as possible to stop eating animal-derived foods? Keep reading for a super-creative way to make them realize their food had a face. Spoiler: Things are about to get a lot more personal. đ¶
“Your Food Had a Face”
You can help change othersâ minds about eating animal-derived foods like meat, eggs, and dairy. Draw a pair of eyes on a piece of paper or use googly eyes and write a note saying, âYour food had a face.â Â
Then, following your thirst for adventure, put this note on an animal-based food in your fridge or at a store. You know that this will spark othersâ air sign sense of curiosity when they see it. Billions of animals are tortured and slaughtered for food every yearâtheir screams unheard and faces unseen. But by showing others that their food had a face, you can help reduce the number of animals used for food and let them live in peace with their loved ones.
But Why?
All sentient beings have unique personalities, feel pain, and deserve to liveâand have a face. After reading your piece of paper, nonvegans will realize that the flesh in that package was once a live animal with thoughts and feelings of their own. Theyâll probably be way more likely to start choosing bussinâ vegan food instead. Eating another being whose life was destroyed sounds pretty unappetizing.
