Mission: Show Your Loved Ones That Animals Are as Unique as Snowflakes

Here’s one of the biggest questions we face as animal advocates: How can we get other people to see all animals as someone—not something? 🤷 Animals are individuals, not products or commodities, and it’s up to us to make sure they enjoy their lives without being exploited.

ICYDK, going vegan is the best way each of us can save animals. By refusing to buy or consume anything made from animal-derived ingredients/materials, you save nearly 200 lives every year. Imagine how many more you could save if you influenced your loved ones to do the same. 🤯

There are so many ways we can use grassroots, DIY, and online activism to inspire our friends and fam to go vegan—but what about just telling them how amazing animals are? Animals are complex individuals with a range of emotions, intricate communications networks, and impressive abilities. They deserve to enjoy their lives and be left in peace.

Complete this snowflake mission to help people realize that animals are individuals who deserve respect and consideration and earn 25 peta2 points in our Rewards Program. 😊

Just like snowflakes, animals are unique. ❄️ Unlike snowflakes, they can feel pain, form bonds, experience fear, and, of course, live—if we let them. Write cool animal facts on decorative snowflakes and watch your loved ones learn before your very eyes. 👀

Share cool animal facts like these:

  • Turkeys purr like kittens when they’re happy. 😍
  • Lobsters can be right- or left-handed, and some are even ambidextrous.
  • Chickens form complex hierarchies in which everyone knows their place on the social ladder.
  • Rats show empathy—in lab studies, free-roaming rats opened cage doors to help trapped ones escape.
  • Primates like chimpanzees mourn when a loved one dies—they hold vigils or wakes and even turn to friends for comfort. 😭
