Traveling? Here Are 6 Ways You Can Speak Up for Animals!
While in school or working (or both đ ), you have been doing your best all year and deserve a vacation! Taking a break from your everyday life doesnât mean you canât continue your animal advocacy from the road. Here are six ways you can help speak up for animals while traveling:
1. Use Your Bags
Turn your bag into a traveling billboard for animal rights. You can add messages to your suitcase by using peta2 stickers or writing out a message with letter stickers. Traveling with just a backpack? Use fabric paint to write a powerful message on it, or add some pins to it to spread the word. Tip: If youâre checking your bag, pick it up at the end of the carousel so everyone waiting can see your message. đ
2. Use Your Clothing
Yes, your travel fit can speak up for animals. đ The next time youâre flying or on a road trip, wear clothing with an animal rights message. Doing so may even spark a conversation with someone at a rest stop or your terminal. đ Check out some of peta2âs merch to wear the next time you travel.

3. Bring Stickers and Leaflets
Leaving stickers and leaflets wherever you go is an easy way to speak up for animals. If youâre flying, leave some at your terminal or in the seat pocket. If youâre on a road trip, leave some in rest-stop bathrooms or visitor centers. You can also leave some in your hotel room or Airbnb lodgings. Leave little activism âfootprintsâ everywhere you go! đŁ
4. Use Your Stay
If the hotel youâre staying at uses down feather comforters, tell management these items are cruelly produced. You can also encourage them to offer only cruelty-free toiletry products. If your hotel already provides cruelty-free products, thank staff and management for doing so. â€ïž Does it have a restaurant? Speak to the people who run it about adding vegan options if some arenât already on the menu. đ±
5. Use Your Car
Want to use your vehicle to spread an animal rights message that will catch everyoneâs eye? đ Add bumper stickers or magnets, or use chalk paint to add a message to a window. đ
Is your car dusty from driving? Write an animal rights message in the dust for everyone to see until you get your car cleaned.
6. Be Prepared
Itâs important to always be prepared for any animal emergency you may encounter. Keep a rescue kit in your car so that you can help an animal in need if you come across one.

Traveling isnât always fun for everyone. đ Animals used in circuses or traveling shows donât get to choose when or where they travelâtheyâre forced to live in cages and perform meaningless tricks for the sake of entertainment. Take action below to help them.
