Mission: Help These Animals Get the Freedom They Deserve
This Fourth of July, think about all the animals who have their basic right to freedom denied. To get a chance to live free from exploitation, they need compassionate young folks like you to speak up for them—and by sharing one of peta2’s stories about these animals on IG, that’s exactly what you’ll do!
Animals Who Are Denied Their Freedom
Countless animals around the world are being robbed of their freedom rn—from the tigers and elephants forced to travel and perform day after day in a circus to the terrified and abused animals used in movies and commercials—but a few animals’ stories are especially heartbreaking.
Bubbles, an elephant used for photo ops, hasn’t had contact with another member of her species in over 30 years. 💔 Simba the lion and Jambo the giraffe are trapped at an animal park in North Carolina, and Lucie the lion is forced to live inside a cramped wire cage at a roadside zoo. 😨 Bow is one of the last chimpanzees in the country kept in isolation, and Corky the orca has been forced to swim in endless circles in a tiny tank since she was kidnapped from her ocean home in 1969. 😰
How You Can Help
These animals have been suffering for years—some for longer than we’ve been alive—but you can help them get the freedom they deserve. 💪 Use your powerful voice to speak up for them by following these steps:
1. Share one or more of the animals’ stories from peta2’s carousel post on your IG and take a screenshot.
2. Submit the screenshot of your shared post for 15 peta2 points. (Heads-up: You’ll only get points once for taking this action.)
