Kaitlyn has had a special place in her heart for animals for as long as she can remember. As a toddler, she carried around a toy veterinarian suitcase to heal her stuffed animals when they were “hurt.” Her empathy grew even stronger when she later majored in animal and veterinary science at Clemson University in South Carolina, where she began her vegan journey after being exposed to the harsh behind-the-scenes reality of the animal agriculture industry. She loves spending time with her dogs, observing their behavior, and becoming enthralled with the beauty of another species’ language. She also loves educating humans on the importance of viewing all animals as living, feeling beings who deserve rights adjacent to our own.
