Mission: Help Keep Cows Out of Holiday Meals—Share This Christmas Ad

Imagine making friends with someone on your walk home from school and forming a close bond. You look forward to seeing them every day, but one day, they’re nowhere to be found—because they’re being loaded onto a truck bound for the slaughterhouse. 😱 Our new Christmas ad shows how cows are super-social animals who remember faces and form strong friendships over time and how the animal agriculture industry destroys those bonds.

You may have also seen viral vids of cows enjoying music and stopping what they’re doing to listen. 🥰 But every year, millions of them are hauled to slaughterhouses where workers shoot them in the head with a captive-bolt gun, hang them up by one leg, and cut their throat, often while they’re still conscious. These are the individuals behind every Christmas beef Wellington. 😰

All animals can feel pain, joy, and fear and don’t deserve to have their lives destroyed for a holiday meal. Chickens want to take dust baths and spend time with their friends. Turkeys love cuddling with their friends and gobbling along to their fave tunes. Pigs are highly intelligent and enjoy playing ball and getting massages. But the animal agriculture industry doesn’t care about animals’ unique personalities—every year, billions of cows, chickens, turkeys, pigs, and other animals are slaughtered for food.
