Mission: Bring Cold Animals Indoors—You Could Save Their Lives
Many parts of North America experience frigid temps during the winter. 🥶 For some, this means bundling up and eating warm vegan snacks by a toasty fire. For others, it means life or death.
Cats and dogs left outside during the cold can die from hypothermia or dehydration when their water sources freeze. Every year, PETA receives calls from folks who found their neighbor’s chained dog or “outdoor cat” frozen to death.😨 Those who don’t die still endure excruciating pain from frostbite, which can cause them to lose parts of their ears, tails, noses, and toes.
Bring your animals indoors or speak up if you see an animal left outdoors during extremely cold weather. It just takes a sec of your time and could save the animal’s life.
