Mission: Use These Labels to Speak Up for Baby Cows

On dairy farms, cows don’t get to spend much time with their babies after they give birth to them. They don’t get to show them love, nuzzle them, or raise them as nature intended. Instead, frightened calves are ripped away from their mothers’ sides—sometimes within a day or two of being born. 💔

What happens to baby cows once they’re taken from their moms? Female calves are sentenced to the same fate as their mothers—they’re used as milk machines. Males are sent to barren lots and eventually slaughtered, or they’re confined to tiny crates and killed for veal after only a few months of life. Some mother cows have been heard calling for their missing calves for days. Is all this trauma necessary just so people can drink milk or eat meat? ☹️

You can help end this deadly cycle and earn 25 peta2 points in our Rewards Program. Show your friends and family that buying cow’s milk means they’re paying someone to kidnap baby cows on dairy farms—and let them know there are plenty of vegan options they can pour over their cereal or mix in their morning coffee instead. 💙

Here’s what to do:

1. Print and cut out these “Missing” labels, then tape them to your family’s or roommate’s carton of dairy milk in the fridge (if they still drink cow’s milk) or hand them out to anyone you know who buys dairy milk.
